University of Guelph Arboretum | Queer Engagement Session

Between some intense weather and a long drive ahead of us all, this session almost didn’t happen. It poured rain my entire drive there and back, but the skies cleared up just long enough for an incredibly moody forest shoot at the Guelph Arboretum. The three of us showed up in different variations of the same outfit (Blundstones required) and the rest was history! As I’m uploading this session, I’m currently editing their stunning wedding photos nearly a year later so stay tuned for those!

Golden Hour Engagement Session | West Perth Wetlands Mitchell, Ontario

I know I say in every blog post that the location is my favourite, but I mean it this time. The West Perth Wetlands are my absolute go-to for any type of session! When the wildflower fields are in full bloom, there’s no beating that as a backdrop while the sun sets. Who knew such a gem was hiding in Mitchell, Ontario? While I may be biased, I think this sunset was one of the best we saw in September - my favourite time of year for couples sessions!

Elora Gorge Proposal | Ontario Engagement Photography

When I got message from H about planning this day, I was beyond excited! I had met these two at my Christmas mini sessions the year prior and could not believe I would be a part of the next step of their journey. This may have set a record for the earliest I’ve gotten on the road for a shoot, but it was so worth it! I left Stratford to be in Elora before the tubing launch opened, which is where the proposal was to take place - it was the most stunning spot with the morning sunlight. The weather was perfect at the gorge and we had the place to ourselves! As I took photos of my friend to look inconspicuous with my giant camera lens, we waited patiently for the right moment - check out the photos to see how it went!
