7 Picture-Perfect Engagement Locations in Stratford
Planning an engagement session in Stratford? Whether you're a long-time local or visiting this charming town for the first time, Stratford offers some of the most picturesque locations that will make your engagement photos truly unforgettable. From lush gardens to historic landmarks, Stratford is a photographer's paradise, and I've rounded up the best spots to capture your much-anticipated romantic moments.
A Foggy Beach Day - Huron County Couples Session
I recently visited a beautiful private beach on Lake Huron, just north of Goderich - the drive was extremely foggy, but spending the evening with these two and their pup, Loki, made it all worth it!
The rolling fog created such a magical atmosphere and ensured we had the beach all to ourselves, with plenty of room to run around and play in the waves. I typically find myself photographing the more farm-centric areas of Huron County, so I’m always happy to be back at the beach!
A Classic Stratford Proposal: Love on Tom Patterson Island
On a windy, cloudy day, the most beautiful surprise unfolded. With their handsome Bernese Mountain Dog as the excuse, I pulled A&S aside and asked if I could take a few photos of him. As we wandered to a quieter side of Tom Patterson Island, I asked if the two of them wanted to step in for some photos together - and the rest was history!
Greenhouse Engagement Photos | Cozyn’s Garden Gallery, Stratford
Looking for unique engagement photos in Stratford? Ditch the typical scenery and embrace the beauty of a local garden center or greenhouse! S & S, a radiant couple with a love story as heartwarming as a springtime bouquet, did just that for their engagement session.
Winter Couple’s Session | Downtown Stratford, Ontario
A short but sweet session on a beautiful winter day! While the photos hide just how cold we were, I do wish we had some BTS footage of us running around trying to stay warm while all the tourists watched on… The Avon River and Downtown Stratford are always a perfect backdrop for a snowy session. Being a local myself, I’ve been known to sneak down side alleys and pathways to quieter locations with the same small town feel. I don’t know that I’ll ever get sick of photographing this gorgeous town! And for those across the border, check out Hailey’s work: Hailey Ann Creative
University of Guelph Arboretum | Queer Engagement Session
Between some intense weather and a long drive ahead of us all, this session almost didn’t happen. It poured rain my entire drive there and back, but the skies cleared up just long enough for an incredibly moody forest shoot at the Guelph Arboretum. The three of us showed up in different variations of the same outfit (Blundstones required) and the rest was history! As I’m uploading this session, I’m currently editing their stunning wedding photos nearly a year later so stay tuned for those!
